Differentiating The Level of Services

If services are required by an outside entity due to grant funding, bonds, etc., it is important to check with the funder regarding the level of service that your organization requires. However, if the report is for internal purposes and you are unsure of the level of service that is best for the organization, see the below graphic to help break it down!

If the organization requires that the CPA provides a level of assurance over the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements, in accordance with a financial framework (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, cash basis, modified cash basis, etc.), you will want to consider an audit or review.
