Personal Life Aaron lives in Charlotte with his wife Michelle and their two kids, seven year old Nora and four year old Palmer. He enjoys golfing, hiking and traveling.
Aaron Patel
Tax and Consulting Partner
Aaron Patel, CPA, is the Tax and Consulting Partner of the firm and in charge of the Charlotte office. He has over thirteen years of experience in public accounting, working with small to medium sized businesses and individual taxpayers.
Aaron and his team will work with you to make sure you are meeting your tax compliance needs, while also making sure you are using everything in the tax code available to you.

Aaron Patel is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina. He has received his degrees in the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Personal Life Clay lives in Charlotte with his partner Edith, their three children Oliver, Ivy, and Evelyn. He enjoys golf, watching sports and spending time with family.
Clayton Mitchell
Senior Tax Manager
Clayton B Mitchell, CPA, is a Tax Manager in the Charlotte office of Sharpe Patel, PLLC, and practices in the areas of taxation and consulting, going above and beyond just tax services, providing a customer service experience involving everything from basic support regarding day to day business operations, managing and streamlining bookkeeping processes, outsourced CFO work, and of course tax preparation and complex tax planning with an eye toward helping the client understand the why's and how's. He has over thirteen years of experience on a wide variety of engagements for closely held businesses and individuals in real estate, construction, manufacturing, technology, salons, restaurants, captive insurance, foreign owned subsidiaries, non-profits, all from inception, growth, maturity and exit.

Clayton is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina. He has received his degrees in the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is also a member of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
Megan RIDGLEY
Senior Tax manager
Megan Ridgley, CPA, is a Tax Manager in the Raleigh office of Sharpe Patel, PLLC. She has over 11 years of experience in Public Accounting working with individuals and small to medium sized businesses. She also works with many not-for-profit businesses and charter schools to ensure tax compliance.

Megan is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. She earned degrees of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Public Accountancy form West Virginia University. She is a member of the American Association of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
Personal Life Megan lives in Raleigh with her husband Devin and their dog and cats. She enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
Personal Life Karin lives in Gastonia with her husband Rodney and one cat, Dixie. She enjoys scrapbooking, going to wineries, and spending time with her three daughters Brooke, Rachel, and Alex as well as her 4 grand-dogs and two grand-rabbits.
Karin Gillespie

Karin Gillespie is an Accounting Manager located in the Charlotte office, working primarily with bookkeeping and tax engagements. Karin has 15 years of experience in public accounting as well as several years in the private sector. She assists with QuickBooks consulting, troubleshooting, implementation and training as well as bookkeeping, financial statement compilations, property tax returns, sales & use tax returns, local business returns and Form 1099s. She also prepares corporate and individual tax returns as well as assisting with tax liability planning and tax notices.

Karin is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Desktop, Online and Enterprise versions. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from UNC Charlotte and her Master of Science in Accounting from Strayer University in Charlotte. She has also obtained the IRS Record of Completion for the Annual Filing Season Program.
Jessica Haltom

Jessica Haltom, CPA is a Tax and Accounting Manager in the Charlotte office. She practices in the areas of tax and accounting. She has over eleven years of experience in public accounting working with closely-held businesses in a variety of industries. She provides bookkeeping services, QuickBooks training, 1099 preparation, sales & use tax return preparation, property tax listing preparation, and assists in both business and personal tax return preparation and tax planning.

Jessica is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of North Carolina. She has received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Master of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University. Jessica is a certified QuickBooks Desktop and Advanced Online ProAdvisor.
Personal Life Jessica lives in Rockwell with her husband, son, and two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cruising, and watching her son race dirt bikes.
Personal Life Charlotte lives in Charlotte with her husband Joel and their spoiled cat Moxie. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time in the mountains.

Tax Manager
Charlotte Pielak, CPA is a tax manager in the Charlotte office of Sharpe Patel PLLC. She has worked in accounting since 2013 and has over six years of public accounting experience, mainly working with closely-held businesses and individuals.

Charlotte is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina. She attended Appalachian State University earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting, with a concentration in taxation. She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
Rebecca Fisher
Nonprofit tax manager
Rebecca Fisher, CPA is a Tax Manager at our Raleigh Office. She has over 13 years of experience in public accounting, working with a variety of nonprofits, including associations, foundations, social service and religious organizations, and higher educational institutions.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Accounting degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
Personal Life Rebecca lives in Cary with her husband, Corey, and their goldendoodle, Bailey. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and visiting the mountains.
Personal Life Katie lives in Wilmington with her 4 year-old son, Wesley, and their poodle, Penny. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, and hunting for shark teeth at Wrightsville Beach.
Katie Hollis
Senior Tax Associate
Katie Hollis, CPA, is a Senior Tax Associate in the Wilmington office of Sharpe Patel PLLC. She has over 8 years of accounting experience, beginning in industry accounting and switching to public accounting in 2020. She has worked with many types of tax clients across multiple industries including real estate, manufacturing, retail, restaurants, and not-for-profits.

Katie is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Professional Accounting at Eastern Washington University. Tim Ring
Senior Associate
Tim Ring retired from the Marine Corps after more than 22 years of service. He is a senior associate in the Wilmington office with almost 20 years of experience in corporate and individual tax preparation and financial statement preparation.

Tim received his Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is also a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s Master of Science in Accountancy program.
Personal Life Tim grew up in Boston, spent many years traveling the world and now lives in Hampstead, NC with his wife Tami and their 2 mischievous cats. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their 2 grown sons, their wives and 5 grandchildren, who live close by.
Personal Life Steven lives in Cornelius and enjoys baking, riding on his EUC, snowboarding, and spending time with his family.
STEVEN GIARDINA
SENIOR Associate
Steven Giardina is a Senior Associate in the Charlotte office of Sharpe Patel PLLC. He has worked in accounting since 2019 and has over three years of experience in public accounting.

Steven obtained his Bachelor’s of Science and Master in Accounting from Saint Joseph’s College in Patchogue, NY and is actively pursuing his Certified Public Accountant certification.
Danielle Diamond
Senior Associate
Danielle Diamond is a Senior Associate with Sharpe Patel and works in the Raleigh office. She has over 10 years of experience with governmental municipalities, not-for-profits and small businesses.

Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Business with a minor in Economics from Monmouth College. She is a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor for QuickBooks Online.
Personal Life Danielle lives in Raleigh with her fiancé, Dan and dog, Striker. She enjoys working out, bowling, staying active and watching her fiancé play hockey.
Personal Life Bryan lives in Raleigh and enjoys staying active. In his free time he spends it by working out, playing sports, and traveling.
Bryan Baulsir
Senior Tax Associate
Bryan Baulsir is a Senior Tax Associate in the Raleigh Office. He has been working in public accounting for 8 years working closely with a variety of not-for-profit businesses on both audits and taxes. In additional, he also has experience preparing personal, sales, and payroll tax returns, as well as providing bookkeeping services.

Bryan received his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from SUNY New Paltz.
Alexis Martin
Accounting Associate
Alexis Martin is an Accounting Associate in the Charlotte Office. She graduated in 2020 and this is her second year in public accounting. She assists with QuickBooks, 1099’s, property tax listings, corporate and individual tax returns.

Personal Life Alexis lives in Kannapolis, NC with her partner Will and stepson, Liam. She enjoys spending time with family, riding on the motorcycle, and attending concerts.
